This is a great accommodation for a large family, which can be tough to find in Iceland. Check in is super easy with Flexipass. The apartment was spacious enough, and the breakfast basket is AMAZING and plentiful, and lasted our family of 5 for over 2 days. It's definitely worth adding the breakfast basket to your stay. The location is great, just a short walk from the Hag. church and the harbor.

We were able to walk or catch a hop on hop off bus to go where we wanted. Loved the breakfast baskets delivered the evening before and the fresh bread delivered to our door every morning. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff in the lobby helped us with all of our questions.

This hotel refused to offer a refund, even with emergency evacuations in place for a potential volcanic eruption. The international airport is only 10 miles north of the eruption site and we will not risk our safety to visit. We hoped the hotel would be understanding and offer a more forgiving return policy, but they were not. Even the Blue Lagoon has extended their closure, yet the hotel doesn’t seem to take this seriously. We are very disappointed in Reykjavík Residence Hotel. We would have loved to consider visiting this hotel in the future, but after this experience we will look elsewhere.

Clean, nice and cozy place to stay overnight. Good location near downtown. Lots of coffee capsules in different flavor for guests. There is a public parking lot.

We were traveling as a group of four to Iceland for a week and wanted to ensure that there was plenty of space for our group during the trip. The Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel has plenty of floor plan options. The two-bedroom suite that we booked was not available when we arrived, but we were able to check our bags in the main lobby. When the room was available, we received notification via email. The hotel has locations within the area, and we were assigned room 503 in the Printing Front Building. The suite had ample space and the balcony was appreciated. One bedroom had an en suite bathroom. The other bedroom was not near the second bathroom. The living/dining area was a nice place to relax after a long day and have meals. There was a communal laundry option in the basement. Traffic on the street can seem amplified at night (recommend ear plugs or noise cancellation headphones). The Printing Front Building is within walking distance of restaurants, shops and a Bonus supermarket. It may take 10-15 minutes to walk to the city center. There were plenty of public buses that stopped on the street. If you are traveling to Reykjavik with a group and/or just want a hotel room with a nice layout and decent location, then check out the Reykjavik Residence Hotel.
